I design the way stories appear in the newspaper. I first wanted to be a reporter — when I was a 10-year-old at Walsingham Elementary. But while attending St. Petersburg High I would get anxious about talking to strangers. So I discovered a new path to journalism: newspaper design. I got my journalism degree at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg while working at the Tampa Bay Times printing plant. I started as a designer in 2012. When I’m not playing Tetris with the front page, I’m napping on the beach, putting my nose in a book or rubbing the belly of my spoiled Bichon, Lily. And I got to be a reporter after all: Check out my analysis of Taylor Swift’s music here.
