Canine parvovirus is very contagious for puppies and unvaccinated dogs. At the Pet Resource Center, the parvo infected dogs are isolated from the rest of the population. Anyone who enters the isolation room has to wear protective gear including rubber boots, gloves, and a disposable gown.
