Parrot uses Amazon's Alexa to order treats for itself

"Alexa, order ice cream, broccoli, a lightbulb and raisins," Rocco said.

Rocco is an African Grey parrot that lives in the United Kingdom. And after being rehomed from the National Animal Welfare Trust sanctuary in Berkshire, he discovered his love for the Amazon Echo, according to LADbible.

His new owner, Marion Wischnewski, a worker at the sanctuary, told LADbible that she has to check the Amazon cart every time she gets home.

"I have to check the shopping list when I come in from work and cancel all the items he's ordered," Wischnewski told the website. "They chat away to each other all day. Often, I come in and there is music playing."

Rocco has a history of being a trouble maker. The reason why he was rehomed? Too much profanity.

African Grey parrots are well known for its mimicking skills and high level of intelligence. They are a common human pet.
