As would be expected, Jameis Winston's Bucs teammates have been quiet on social media since Thursday's news that he was officially suspended for the first three games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

But we do have the first public support since that came down, as TMZ found receiver DeSean Jackson at the airport in Los Angeles and asked him for a comment on Winston's suspension.

"You can't turn your back on someone when they (are) going through something," he told the site. Jackson said it was a "tough situation," but said of Winston that "he's a good dude and a  good teammate …  he's a champ … (has) been through a lot in his career."

Bucs linebacker Kwon Alexander had  voiced his support for Winston last week on Twitter when the Times reported the upcoming suspension.

"We gotcha back @Jaboowins ! I'm riding with ya foreva! Family!!"  Alexander wrote on Twitter.
