Receiver DeSean Jackson has asked to be traded from the Bucs as the Tuesday deadline nears, but the team has refused his request.
According to a report by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport Sunday, Jackson recently asked to dealt to another team. The NFL trade deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Jackson is in the second season of a three-year, $33.5-million contract. But none of his $10-million for 2019 is guaranteed.
But coach Dirk Koetter was asked Sunday if he was aware Jackson had requested a trade.
"Not to my knowledge," Koetter told the Times.
Jackson got off to a hot start when Ryan Fitzpatrick was at quarterback, catching 17 passes for 424 yards and three touchdowns in the first four games. But since Jameis Winston returned from his three-game suspension, Jackson has six receptions for 102 yards and no receiving TDs.
Jackson leads the NFL with 22.9 yards per reception.
