Bucs-Saints: New Orleans celebrates another NFC South title in Tampa

The Saints clinched the division last year at Raymond James Stadium, but this time could celebrate following a win.

TAMPA — Inside the visiting locker room of Raymond James Stadium, the New Orleans Saints celebrated winning the NFC South with a 28-14 win over the Bucs.

Players donned T-shirts and caps that claimed as much, and this marked the second straight year the Saints clinched a playoff spot in Tampa — though the Saints clinched the division last year following a Week 17 loss to the Bucs.

"Each season stands alone, right?" Saints quarterback Drew Brees said. "I feel like it's building blocks. Last year was a building block for this year. Obviously, we still have a lot of work ahead of us, but goal No. 1 was to win the division, win the division again. We were able to do that.

Brees said the way the Saints, who scored 25 unanswered points against the Bucs, won on Sunday — rebounding from last week's loss to Dallas — was characteristic of this team.

"I like the way we won this game," he said. "We didn't play too well in the first half. Obviously, we came in with a big deficit and were able to come together with all sides making plays in that second half. It was a great team win."
