Always Growing: Localtopia
What started five years ago as a showcase of St. Petersburg businesses and merchants has expanded to a full-fledged festival with more than a market. Presented by Keep St. Pete Local, Localtopia returns to Williams Park on Saturday, bringing a flurry of activities. Sure, they'll still have a market featuring local artists, including Frank Strunk III, to scratch your shopping itch. But they've added live music, a Skate Village with ramps and vendors, a Family Village where you can paint the Nomad Art Bus and a Health and Wellness Village. New this year is the Eco Village, featuring two tiny houses from St. Pete Eco Village. It all kicks off at 10 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. at Fourth Street and First Avenue N. $5 suggested donation. localtopia.keepsaintpetersburglocal.org.
