Miami coach Mark Richt has been named the ACC's coach of the year.
Richt received 41 of 59 votes from a panel of 45 media members and the league's 14 coaches. Clemson's Dabo Swinney was second with 10 votes, followed by Boston College's Steve Addazio, Virginia's Bronco Mendenhall and Wake Forest's Dave Clawson.
Richt has quickly turned his alma mater around. In his second season, the Hurricanes are 10-1. They have won their first Coastal Division title and play Clemson in Saturday's conference championship game in Charlotte. A win there will almost certainly send Miami to its first College Football Playoff appearance.
