At the end of the early signing period, Florida landed a different kind of big recruit.

The Gators announced that former blue-chip recruit Trevon Grimes is transferring to UF from Ohio State. The former receiver at Fort Lauderdale's St. Thomas Aquinas was the No. 41 overall recruit in the 2017 class.

The 6-foot-3, 202-pound Grimes caught three passes in two games for the Buckeyes this season.

Grimes is the latest addition to the receiving corps. UF also landed Van Jefferson from Ole Miss; he had 91 catches for 999 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons with the Rebels.
