Jordan Smith – one of the nine Gators accused of credit card fraud – is leaving the program.
Smith, who entered 2017 as a redshirt freshman defensive lineman, announced Thursday that he is pursuing a transfer "due to my recent actions and coaching changes."
Smith and offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort were the only two players not offered deferred prosecution after being accused of credit card fraud. Telfort is reportedly transferring, too.
Their legal cases remain ongoing. Alachua County records show no updates since felony complaints were filed against them in September.
A third player involved in the scandal, receiver Antonio Callaway, has entered the NFL draft.
The players had been indefinitely suspended during the investigation.
