Scott Valdez was named the new principal of Dover's Bailey Elementary School on Tuesday. He replaces Jarrod Haneline, who has taken over at Jackson Elementary in Plant City.
Valdez joined the district in 2002 and served last as assistant principal of Symmes Elementary School.
In addition, the board approved these principal transfers:
- Peter Megara, from Monroe Middle to Progress Village Middle Magnet School.
- James Goode, from Aparicio-Levy Technical College to Erwin Technical College.
- Paul Gansemer, from Brewster Technical College to Aparicio-Levy.
As reported earlier, Middleton High School principal Kim Moore was appointed the district's director of administration. The district has not yet replaced her at Middleton.
