There weren't too many players that were pumped to compete against heavy favorite Connor McDavid in tonight's fastest skater contest at the NHL All-Star Game Skills Competition.
But Lightning center Brayden Point will get a shot, as he'll be part of the fastest skater event tonight at 7 p.m. (NBSCN). The other Lightning All-Stars will also have an event, with Nikita Kucherov in the passing challenge, Steven Stamkos in the hardest shot and + accuracy and goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy in the save streak.
The Lightning's injured All-Star, Victor Hedman, will still be part of the weekend, serving as the Atlantic Division's assistant to the equipment manager for Sunday's All-Star Game. So he'll be on the bench.
