Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman addressed two of his team’s biggest needs Monday, acquiring defenseman Ryan McDonagh and forward J.T. Miller from the New York Rangers at the NHL trade deadline.

Tampa Bay gave up Vladislav Namestnikov, Brett Howden, Libor Hajek, a 2018 first-round pick and a conditional second-round pick.

Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson and Red Wings blueliner Mike Green stayed with their respective teams.
