We have missed the NHL playoffs in Tampa Bay, and the Lightning didn't disappoint in Game 1, defeating the New Jersey Devils 5-2 in its first playoff game in nearly two years.

Alex Killorn, Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Yanni Gourde were fantastic as the Lightning carried play for much of the game. Only the penalty killed tripped up Tampa Bay.

Meanwhile, after being on the road seemingly forever, the Rays return to the Trop tonight for a series against the Phillies. Plus, Colin Kaepernick's workout with the Seahawks has been cancelled.
