On Monday night, Lightning center Yanni Gourde scored a power-play goal to help the Lightning top the Bruins 4-2 and even their Eastern Conference series at 1-1.

On Tuesday, he became a dad.

Gourde, 26, announced the birth of Emma Kate Gourde on Tuesday night.

The photo shows Gourde obviously smiling behind a surgical mask along with his wife, Marie from a hospital bed moments after the birth.

It’s been quite a season for Gourde. His 25 goals this season broke the Lightning rookie record set by Tyler Johnson in 2013-14, and also holds the regular-season record for points by a rookie (64).

No surprise, though, that the baby was named Emma. The mom-to-be foreshadowed the birth with a photo of Gourde holding an old-school Lightning jersey bearing the baby’s name.

Of course our unborn baby girl needs her own jersey 💗 #itsagirl
