Tom Jones’ takeaways from Lightning-Bruins Game 4

You could tell by the huge fist pump just how relieved the Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov was to score in the first period.

1. You could tell by the huge fist pump just how relieved the Lightning's Nikita Kucherov was to score in the first period after being shut out in the first three games of the series. Certainly was a better sight for Tampa Bay than watching Kucherov smash his stick against the boards, as he did earlier in the series.

2. Is there any doubt about who the Lightning's best player is in these playoffs? It's Brayden Point by a mile. His first-period goal where he undressed Bruins legend Zdeno Chara was Tampa Bay's best goal this postseason and an example of just how talented this kid is.

3. It's one thing to try to get under an opponent's skin with the occasional cross-check or face wash. It's another to do what Boston pest Brad Marchand did in the second period to Ryan Callahan: low bridge a player by ducking under him. Now you're messing with a guy's knees, and there's only one word for it: dirty.
