It's good to be the Lightning. Tampa Bay comes out of the Christmas break atop the NHL standings, and it has been at or near the top for the whole season.

Here are some numbers through the Lightning's first 37 games, entering No. 38 on Thursday against the Flyers at Amalie Arena:

Consecutive games in which the Lightning has earned at least one point. Tampa Bay has won 11 of its past 12 games — the only loss to the Jets in overtime Dec. 16 — and has at least a point in 15 of its past 17.

Points by which the Lightning leads the league over the second-place Maple Leafs. That's a three-win margin over Toronto, against which the Lightning has three more games this season.

Points the Lightning would finish the season with if it kept up its current pace, something that's unlikely. The Predators won last season's Presidents' Trophy as the league's top team with 117 points.

Total shots goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has seen in his four games back from a fractured left foot. That's an average of 39 a game. His average for the season is 33.

Goals in December for Steven Stamkos, tying his career high for a month (matching November 2010 and March 2012). The Lightning has three more games this month.

Points for Nikita Kucherov, second in the league. If he can maintain that pace, he'd finish the season with 128. The Oilers' Connor McDavid led the league last season with 108. Kucherov already has two-thirds the number of the assists (41) he finished last season with (61.)

Points for Kucherov on the power play (seven goals and 14 assists). Stamkos and Brayden Point, who have been on the receiving end of most of those assists, have 15 power-play points apiece.

Regulation losses for the Lightning in 11 December games. Its last regulation loss was Nov. 27 to the Ducks.

Shutout for the Lightning this season, 1-0 against the Avalanche on Oct. 24. Its 106 goals against is 19th in the league.

Lightning players with double-digit points. It leads the league in goals with 154. Toronto the No. 2 scoring team, has 13 players with double digits in points. Tampa Bay has five players with at least 10 goals. Point has 21, Stamkos 20.

Straight games in which the Lightning has scored four or more goals. It has scored at least four 26 times this season. Tampa Bay is 22-1-2 when scoring four or more goals.

Goals by which the Lightning has recorded its largest margin of victory and suffered its largest margin of defeat. It lost 7-1 to the Coyotes on Oct. 27. It beat the Blue Jackets 8-2 on Oct. 13 and the Avalanche 7-1 on Dec. 8.
