UPDATE, 8:51: The Rays reached agreement on contracts with all of the 0-3 players on their 40-man roster except for INF Christian Arroyo, who had his contract renewed at the minimum salary. The Rays and other teams offer contracts within a narrow range based on a scale tied to service time, so by rejecting Arroyo (and agent Tom O'Connell) took a little less.

DEVELOPING: With Daniel Robertson, Joey Wendle and Micah Johnson competing, manager Kevin Cash was frank in saying that top prospect Willy is on "the outside looking in" for the second base job.

But he will get a look there nonetheless as the Rays take on the Twins.
