CLEARWATER — Rays reliever Chaz Roe had thrown some good sliders before.

But the one he delivered in Tuesday's game against the Phillies may have been his best.

Certainly his most famous thanks to the widespread attention the clip got on social media, as it was featured on Instagram (with nearly 700,000 views) and Twitter  (more than 300,000).

"I didn't really how good it was until my wife showed me the video," Roe said.  "I threw a couple like that a couple years ago, but that one was up there."

Roe said he wasn't aware the clip was circulating so heavily until checking his phone this morning: "I had about 350 Instagram requests."
