Greetings from Tropicana Field, where another day brings another round of injury-related transactions for the Rays.

Third baseman Matt Duffy, who left Monday's game with tightness in his right hamstring, has been placed on the 10-day disabled list, taking away another key bat from the Rays lineup.

To take his place, the Rays selected the contract of Brandon Snyder, 31, who can play both corner infield and outfield spots and can even catch in a pinch. He has a .242 career average and was last in the majors in 2016 with the Braves, and was hitting .154 with Triple-A Durham before getting called up.

To make room on the 40-man roster, outfielder Kevin Kiermaier, expected to miss about 12 weeks with a thumb injury that required surgery, has been moved  to the 60-day disabled list.

Here's the lineup for Tuesday night as the Rays face a familiar face in left-hander Matt Moore, who faces his old club for the first time. He's started his Rangers career with three rough starts, going 0-3 with an 8.76 ERA.

The Rays have a new face in the bullpen as well, with RHP Hunter Wood called up from Durham to replace Chih-Wei Hu and add another fresh arm to the bullpen. He made a single appearance last season, facing one batter on May 30 and throwing five pitches and getting an out against the Rangers.
