Model/actress Kate Upton had plenty to say in 2016 when then fiance Justin Verlander missed out on winning the AL Cy Young award due in part to the votes of the two Tampa Bay writers, posting an extraordinarily profane, and extremely memorable, tweet.
So when Verlander, now her husband, finished runner-up again Wednesday, to Tampa Bay LHP Blake Snell, and was third and fourth on the two ballots from the Tampa Bay chapter, you knew she would have something to say:
Verlander quickly posted this addendum:
I walk away for TWO SECONDS and she puts quotes on “joking”. https://t.co/7w3hIykZtm— Justin Verlander (@JustinVerlander) November 15, 2018
The two have been busy, with the birth last week of their daughter, Genevieve Upton Verlander. And Kate had a tweet for that, too:
Daddy daughter snuggles beat everything #Repost @justinverlander・・・Didn’t win #cyyoungaward , but I can’t be too upset when I have this little girl waiting for her daddy off camera! https://t.co/fL51LFP6YC— Kate Upton (@KateUpton) November 14, 2018
