Americana music fans, the 2019 Gasparilla Music Festival is for you.

Folksy North Carolina foot-stompers the Avett Brothers lead the eclectic lineup for the 2019 Gasparilla Music Festival, returning to Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park in March. They'll headline on Saturday, March 9, while Texas guitar-slinger Gary Clark Jr. will headline on Sunday, March 10.

Other Americana-friendly events playing next year's fest: Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, most recent spotted on the big screen backing Bradley "Jackson Maine" Cooper in A Star Is Born; indie rockers Jared and the Mill; bluegrass outfit the Infamous Stringdusters; and New Orleans Suspects' Tribal Gold, featuring the Suspects performing with Big Chief Juan Pardo and the Golden Comanches.

In other genres, you've got alternative hip-hop group the Pharcyde, N'awlins new-schoolers Tank and the Bangas and children's music superstar Laurie Berkner. Locals Parrotfish, Sugar Rush and Mr. Tommy were also announced.

And in an inspired nod to local music history, longtime local Grateful Dead tribute band Uncle John's Band will be playing Dick's Pick's Vol. 1 in full. Released in 1993, the first installment of the Dead's long-running bootleg series was recorded on Dec. 19, 1973, at Tampa's long-demolished Curtis Hixon Hall — in other words, right on the site of the Gasparilla Music Festival.

More acts will be announced for 2019 in December and January, but for now, tickets are on sale for $60 for the weekend, or $40 Saturday and $30 Sunday.
