Bob Buckhorn back in DC to push for trade deal

Bob Buckhorn can't get enough of Washington.

The Tampa Democrat, a likely 2018 candidate for governor, is back in the capital today for a U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Buckhorn chairs the mayors' task force on the trade deal.

Buckhorn has become a regular in Washington, with a couple recent visits to the White House. He was last there on Dec. 3, for a meeting on the trade deal.

Florida Sen. Bill Nelson supports the accord. Sen. Marco Rubio has supported it, too, but hasn't said whether he'll vote for it.
