Pasco deputies: Skeletal remains found, little else known

NEW PORT RICHEY — Someone walking in an open area west of Barbara Street came across skeletal remains on Sunday morning, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

The remains of the body were partially covered in clothing, but the Sheriff's Office said the sex of the victim and the cause of the victim's death are as yet unknown.

Deputies said the remains were found on a 60-acre parcel of land, and the agency is still investigating.
