TAMPA — The Tampa Police Department is investigating a Sunday night crash that killed one pedestrian.
According to police, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near North Busch Boulevard and East Nebraska Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. and transported to Tampa General Hospital where the died. The accident shut down a portion of North Busch Boulevard and East Nebraska Avenue for a few hours. The road was reopened shortly before 11 p.m. No other details have been released.
Tampa police said the accident is still under investigation, but no charges have been filed at this time.
The victim's next of kin has been notified, however police have not released the name per the newly enacted "Marsy's Law," protecting victim rights.
