A Safety Harbor man's pockets just got a little bit heavier.

The Florida Lottery announced Friday that 35-year-old Benjamin Singer claimed a $1 million prize from a ticket he bought in Tampa.

Singer purchased a $30 FLORIDA 100x THE CASH scratch off from the Radiant Food Store at 6055 West Waters Ave. within the past six weeks, the Florida Lottery said.

He opted to take his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $770,000.

The Radiant, meanwhile, will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Singer could not immediately be reached for comment.

FLORIDA 100X THE CASH launched in February 2018 and features eight top prizes of $15 million. It is largest scratch-off top prize ever offered by the Florida Lottery.

The odds of winning any prize are one in 2.59, according to the Florida Lottery website.

The odds of nabbing a ticket with the $1 million prize that Singer won are little longer: one in 1,620,000.
