TAMPA — Authorities in Columbia County have made an arrest in last week's shooting outside a Tampa liquor store that left one man dead and another injured.

Police say a warrant was issued for Eric Jayquan Smith, 24, no known address, and he was arrested Monday in Lake City. He faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and robbery.

The shooting occurred on March 6 in the parking lot of City Liquors, 9403 N Nebraska Ave. Police responding to the scene just before 10:30 p.m. found an unidentified 42-year-old man dead and another wounded.

The unidentified 40-year-old man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries, police said.
