The Bucs have their first win of 2013. After seeing a 15-0 lead turn into a 19-15 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Bucs got a touchdown run from unheralded backup Bobby Rainey, then a key stop by the defense to clinch a 22-19 victory at Raymond James Stadium.
On the night the Bucs added Hall of Famer Warren Sapp to the team's Ring of Honor, the defense stepped up in the final two minutes, getting to Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill for sacks on back-to-back plays. Facing a fourth and 27, Tannehill's deep pass was intercepted by Darrelle Revis to end that rally.
The Bucs (1-8) had lost rookie Mike James to an ankle injury on the opening drive, and saw the Dolphins (4-5) rally back from down 15 for a 19-15 lead. Rainey had a 31-yard run to the 1-yard line to set up his first career touchdown for the lead with 10:19, and the defense held on for the win.
