Florida pump prices saw a small uptick last week but are headed back down, according to AAA, the Auto Club Group.

State gas prices climbed two cents over the week to $2.58 a gallon Monday, while Tampa Bay gas averaged $2.56 a gallon Monday, up 8 cents over the week.

"Florida gas prices inexplicably increased last week, despite falling fundamentals like oil and wholesale prices, which would normally lead to lower prices at the pump," Mark Jenkins, AAA spokesman, said.

Jenkens expects prices to be headed down to the $2.50-a-gallon range this week. Nationally, gas was $2.75 a gallon Monday.
