Allegiant reports 1.1 million passengers for December 2018

Allegiant Air's passenger count inched up in December 2018 and over the year's fourth quarter, the Las Vegas airline's parent company said in a release Wednesday.

Allegiant Air's passenger count inched up in December compared to the year before, and was up for the final quarter of 2018, the Las Vegas airline's parent company said in a release Wednesday.

About 1.1 million passengers flew with the airline in December 2018, up just under 1 percent from the previous December. During the fourth quarter, roughly 3.2 million passengers took Allegiant, up 5.2 percent over the year.

Allegiant recorded 13.8 million passengers for all of 2018, up nearly 12 percent from 2017. Allegiant is the predominant carrier at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.
