TAMPA — A Chicago private equity firm paid $112.25 million for the 18-story, 520-room Hilton Tampa Downtown, records show. The sale was announced last week but no price was given and the deed had not been recorded at that time. The sale price was 11 percent more than what the previous owner paid but substantially less than the prices paid for the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club ($118.5 million last year); the Tampa Marriott Waterside ($150 million in 2014); and the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach ($120.5 million in 2016).
