The Westin's new owner, a Nashville hotel company, paid $236,207 per room, which is more per room than buyers paid for the Hilton Downtown Tampa and the Tampa Marriott Waterside but far less than the $512,000 per room for the Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg. That sold for $188.5 million last September to a hospitality company led by Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-owner and chairman Bryan Glazer. In 2016, the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa sold for almost $500,000 per room.
