Tampa Bay condo and townhome sale prices rose in June

Bay area condo and townhome prices still lower than statewide median.

Sales of Tampa Bay condos and townhomes dropped in June although prices rose. According to figures released this week by Florida Realtors, sales were down by 8.7 percent compared to the same month a year ago while prices climbed 7.3 percent to a median of $173,000. For the state as a whole, sales slumped 9.4 percent while prices rose 2.6 percent to a median of $194,900.

The Fort Walton Beach area had the highest condo/townhome sale prices in June — a median of $334,000 — while Ocala had the lowest at $101,000.
