Drivers get some relief at the pump this week with a moderate break in gas prices. According to AAA, the Auto Club Group, Florida gas dropped 7 cents over the week to average $2.71 per gallon Monday, trailing Tampa Bay's 10-cent decline to $2.67 per gallon Monday.
"Stabilizing fuel supplies and lower crude oil prices are leading to cheaper prices at the pump," said Mark Jenkins, AAA spokesman.
There could be a spike ahead, Jenkins said, come Memorial Day weekend, however. Nationally, gas was $2.86 per gallon Monday.
