The 50 states were ranked based on 26 metrics, including restaurants, marinas and movie theaters per capita and access to national parks.

In WalletHub's most fun cities in the U.S. survey last year, Tampa ranked 20, and St. Petersburg landed at 47.

Categories for the city rankings included festivals, dance clubs and park playgrounds per capita and accessible bars — even average beer price and time of last call.
