In 1990, Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands was filmed in a new subdivision in Pasco County called Carpenters Run.
The stucco homes were painted in bright pastels while Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder were there.
Andrew Cremeans grew up near the Land O'Lakes neighborhood. His mom even worked for the movie's on-call set doctor in 1990.
So recently Cremeans wanted to see what the old neighborhood looked like now. He took his daughter for a walk and captured a half dozen images of the homes and street scenes.
He has posted those in his imgur gallery with shots from the film showing the same locations.
Cremeans told Mashable he was surprised at the number of trees in the neighborhood now. The biggest plants in the movie were shrubs shaped into wild topiaries by Edward's talented hands.
"You never realize how trees completely change the facade of a neighborhood,'' Cremeans said.
