CLEARWATER

The city is seeking residents to serve on its next charter review committee. The City Charter requires a charter review committee to be appointed at least every five years with appointments to be made in January preceding an election. The charter requires there to be at least 10 members who are Clearwater residents.

The committee is appointed by the City Council and examines the city's charter and determines what changes, if any, should be proposed and brought to voters.

Appointments are effective Jan. 17, 2019, and the committee meets through September. The committee's proposed charter changes will be submitted to the City Council for consideration and placed on the March 2020 ballot.
