Alec Baldwin is still fighting the New York media, allegedly smacking into a TV reporter with a bicycle and running over her foot. These folks do realize doing things like blocking a public sidewalk to ask a celebrity about their anger issues is why people hate the media, right?
The New York Daily News reports the 30 Rock actor knocked over an Inside Edition reporter as she asked him about his alleged sucker punch of Daily News photog Marcus Santos on Tuesday. "Ouch, my back," the woman said, according to the newspaper. "He shoved me and ran over my foot."
Ever the vocal tweeter, Baldwin took to @alecbaldwin to briefly address the incident: "15-20 cameramen outside my bldg this am, chasing me on my bike. They're knocking into ppl on the street, yelling 'Will you seek help, Alec?'" If he doesn't seem sympathetic there, he followed up with, "I am told I ran over someone's foot on my bike today. I think it was that person who placed their foot under the wheel of my bike."
The NYPD are investigating the photographer-shoving incident, but it's not clear if charges will be filed. We're sure this one will come to a head also, but the cops are just as likely to point out that hey, maybe they should get out of the way of a moving bicycle -- especially when Alec Baldwin is riding it.
