Rays spring schedule released

The Rays today released their spring schedule, which starts with Feb. 23 split-squad games - home vs. Pittsburgh and at Boston - and concludes with a March 30 game vs. the Tigers at the Trop

Spring training will be longer in 2013 due to prep for the World Baseball Classic. The Rays pitchers and catchers will report to Port Charlotte on Feb. 12.

The Rays are taking deposits for season tickets for the 17-game schedule at the Charlotte Sports Park at Single-game tickets will go on sale in January, with the specific date to be announced, prices ranging from $10 for berm/boardwalk GA to $27.

The Rays will play four road games in the immediate Tampa Bay area: March 1 in Dunedin vs. Toronto; March 8 and 26 in Clearwater vs. the Phillies; March 24 in Tampa vs. the Yankees. Some other teams have already put tickets on sale. Ticket info for the game at the Trop will be released at a later date.
