-- Tampa Bay's DJ KU made it to the finals but didn't take home the national crown in this past weekend's Red Bull Thre3Style competition in Orlando. Charles Ku (pronounced KOO) won the regional contest in Charlotte, N.C., in May and competed against nine other deejays for the national title. He placed in the top six. The winner, Four Color Zack from San Francisco, advanced to Red Bull Thre3Style International Finals in Chicago in September. Ku, 26, is resident DJ at the Blue Martini on Friday nights and the Hyde Park Cafe on Saturdays and is well-known among club goers across the area.
