It's been a rough week for Bucs cornerback Robert McClain.
The Bucs' late-game collapse last week at Buffalo, losing a seven-point lead with three minutes to play, started with a 44-yard pass play to Deonte Thompson. McClain had a helmet-to-helmet hit on the play, one that drew a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty and gave him a concussion, an injury that will sideline him from this week's game against Carolina.
Now, on top of everything else to come from that play, McClain has been fined $24,309 by the league. That represents about half of a game check -- McClain earns $45,588 per week with a $775,000 salary this season.
