Disney to offer free UCF tuition to employees this fall

Starting this fall, there's a new perk to working at Disney.

Employees and cast members will be eligible for free tuition at the University of Central Florida, the university announced in a press release Thursday.

In Florida, more than 53,000 employees can take advantage of the company's Disney Aspire program.

"Since its launch, Disney Aspire has enabled thousands of Cast Members to dream bigger and reach higher," said George A. Kalogridis, president of Walt Disney World Resort and a UCF sociology graduate, in the release. "Adding UCF to this prestigious network of schools will provide our Cast Members with even more options to create the futures they imagine."

The program will be available to both full-time and part-time workers with at least 90 days on the job. It covers tuition, application fees, required books and materials. Employees also must be admitted to UCF and meet in-state residency requirements.

Over 30 undergraduate and master's degrees programs are available, ten of which are fully online. The options include biology, entertainment management, economics and nursing.
