Apparently you can't keep a big gator down, or out of sight.
Nearly one year ago, we told about a giant gator that was seen meandering across a path at the Polk Nature Discovery Center. That sighting drew lots of attention on social media not just because of the humpback gator's size, but its unusual shape, drawing comparisons to Godzilla.
So it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that another giant gator was spotted in virtually the same location, walking in the same direction, as the estimated 15-foot monster seen on video that was posted on the nature center's Facebook page last Jan. 17.
This time, Suzy Griffin Paul captured on Saturday of presumably the same gargantuan gator crossing a path at Circle B Bar Preserve and posted the video on Facebook.
"We go to Circle B often but have never had the chance to see a gator on the path," Griffin said in the Facebook comments.
Squint your eyes and you'll swear it's the same video, but a closer look shows this beast wandered in front of another gator, while last year's sighting occurred while it was walking in front of bystanders with cameras in hand.
