The 2017-18 Tampa Jewish Festival of Books & Conversations continues Oct. 29 with the All-Day of Authors at Bryan Glazer Jewish Community Center, 522 N Howard Ave., Tampa. The Oxford Exchange Spotlight Series presents former astronaut and military fighter pilot Capt. Scott Kelly (Endurance: A Year in Space, a Lifetime of Discovery) discussing his memoir at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Tampa Theatre, 711 N Franklin St., Tampa. Florida poet laureate Peter Meinke and artist Jeanne Meinke (The Elf Poem) will be the speakers at the Friends of the Library of Tampa-Hillsborough County Four Seasons Author Series luncheon at noon Nov. 3 at University Club of Tampa, One Tampa City Center.
