The University of Tampa's Lectores Series continues with readings. All readings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

Jan. 10, Scarfone/Hartley Gallery: poets Sandra Beasley (Count the Waves), Alan Michael Parker (The Ladder) and Angela Redmond-Theodore, featured alumni reader

Jan. 11, Crescent Club, ninth floor, Vaughn Center, 401 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa: fiction writers Mikhail Iossel (Every Hunter Wants to Know) and Jeff Parker (Where Bears Roam the Streets: A Russian Journal)

The Cathedral Church of St. Peter's book talk series presents Times book editor Colette Bancroft discussing Jennifer Egan's 2017 novel Manhattan Beach at noon Jan. 9 at the church, 140 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg. Free; lunch available ($5).
