Events: Michael Koryta in conversation with Times book editor Colette Bancroft

Bestselling thriller author Michael Koryta (Rise the Dark) will appear in conversation with Tampa Bay Times book editor Colette Bancroft, followed by a signing, at 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at Harbor Hall, University of South Florida St. Petersburg, 1000 Third St. S. The event will be followed by a party at 6 p.m. at Green Bench Brewing, 1133 Baum Ave. N, St. Petersburg.

Emily M. Raffield, Melissa Farrell and Christina McDermott (Saints of Old Florida) will discuss and sign their book about the Florida Panhandle at 2 p.m. Aug. 21 at Oxford Exchange, 420 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa.

Author Dawn Tripp (Georgia) will discuss her novel, a historical fiction work based on the life of artist Georgia O'Keeffe, in conversation with Salvador Dalí Museum chief curator William Jeffett and Tampa Museum of Art modern and contemporary art curator Joanna Robotham, at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, 400 N Ashley Drive, Tampa.
