Forever Austen

It is a truth universally acknowledged that more Jane-inspired fiction is on the way.

Finding Colin Firth (Gallery Books) by Mia March focuses on three women whose lives are changed when they connect in a Maine town where it's rumored the actor famed for his portrayal of Mr. Darcy will be making another film.

Longbourn (Knopf) by Jo Baker is a historical novel, coming in October, that retells Pride and Prejudice from the point of view of the household servants — rather like Austen meets Downton Abbey.

Mad About the Boy (Knopf) by Helen Fielding, also due in October, is the third novel about Bridget Jones, one of the most popular contemporary versions of Elizabeth Bennet, who is now concerned with diapers rather than diaries.
