4th of July photo shows it's tough to compete with Mother Nature's fireworks

I always look for a different location from which to capture fireworks shows each year in the Tampa Bay area. A friend and colleague at work invited me to her Mansions By The Sea condo, Treasure Island, which overlooks the Gulf and south toward St. Pete Beach with a spectacular view. As the 9 p.m. fireworks show began at Upham Beach, Mother Nature was also putting on a show over the Gulf as a thunderstorm moved over Tampa Bay and Manatee County to the south. Lucky me to get one frame where both fireworks and lightning combined in the photograph.
