Three shows open Saturday at the Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W Gasparilla Plaza, all part of director Todd Smith's mission to explore art of the 20th and 21st centuries. The incomparable collages of Romare Bearden form the biggest one. Shown is Carolina Morning, 1974. Don ZanFagna is far less known but his fascinating biography is as compelling as his mixed media works. And avant-garde composer and artist John Cage's centennial is celebrated with a recreation of one of his very cool interactive installations. All are must-sees before they close May 6.
