Dan Scavino, the White House director of social media and assistant to President Donald Trump, tweeted — then deleted — a picture that falsely identified a flooded airport as Miami International Airport Sunday afternoon.
“Sharing on social media with President @realDonaldTrump & @VP Pence hourly,” Scavino tweeted. ”Here is Miami International Airport. STAY SAFE!!”
Minutes later, the official Miami International account responded to Scavino’s tweet, ”This video is not from Miami International Airport.”
Minutes after that, Scavino’s tweet had disappeared. Around an hour after @iflymia corrected the administration official, Scavino explained why he deleted the original tweet.
